Educational Services

The Educational Services division supports Compton Unified School Sites in planning, implementing, and monitoring high quality curriculum instruction and professional development programs that meet state and federal accountability requirements and that prepares all students to meet high standards. The Division provides services that respond to the differentiated needs of schools in the areas of data analysis, curriculum development, and staff development in the areas of technology and all levels of instructional programs. The Division Associate assists in the monitoring of all compliance issues requirements. As a district we are currently transitioning to Common Core standards in response to the U.S. education initiative that seeks to bring diverse state curricula into alignment with each other by following the principles of standards-based education reform. The initiative is sponsored by the National Governors Association (NGA) and the Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO).
